JUST SAD.....
Posted by TAMIKA DAVIS on Tuesday, October 4, 2011 Under: THE YOUTH
It's so truly sad when you turn on the news and all you see is young people dying. Recently they had on the news how a 3 yr old was killed by her mother's boyfriend. He beat the poor little to death. Then that same news report showed how a 2 yr old got shot in the eye and lost her eye. What is this sad world coming to? Then a few days ago someone slit a young girls throat and left her to die. What is going on with our youth? Tonite the news report showed a 9 year old took his parents car out for a joy ride and he nearly killed himself. So many young people committing suicide from being bullied or just from the pressures they face from their peers. As parents we really have to step up to the plate and really talk to our children. Let your children know that certain types of behavior is just not acceptable and will not be tolerated. If we don't want to take the time and correct our children there are plenty of cops who are just waiting to beat some sense into them. If you chastise your child in love you won't have to worry about the cops beating them within an inch of their lives or worse.
As a mother, I truly know parenting isn't an easy task these days. The youth seem to be getting more and more rebellious with each year that goes by. I ask the question, why is our youth such an angry generation? Every little thing seems to set some of them off in a rage. So many senseless deaths day in and dayout, it's just ridiculous! These days when your children go off to school you have to pray that they make it back home to you in one piece. It's so much to worry about. There's teachers who are trying to sleep with the students that you have to be cautious about. Some children are so disturbed and angry they are coming to school with guns ready to kill as many as they can. Some build bombs and blow up the whole damn building! Where have we gone wrong as parents? Please, please, please talk to your children and see what's really going on inside of them. They may seem like everything is okay on the outside and pretend they are fine but that's a smoke screen sometimes. If you see some changes in them all of a sudden, check into it. Talk to your kids often, always make them feel that they can come to you with their problems. Reassure them that you are there for them and to keep them safe. If you don't have a close knit relationship with your child and you know someone they may open up to, ask them to talk with them. For the parents who are able to sit down to the dinner table as a family with your kids, do that. During dinner, ask your kids how their day went. Let them know this is the time we can share and discuss issues of life. Parents take the time to get to know your kids all over again. Time to take our kids back from the ways of the world. Pray with your kids and for your kids. Keep God in the midst of your family circle because the child you save may be your own.
